Qualifications and Study Experience

Elle-Mae studied History at the University of Chichester, obtaining a 2:1 degree classification. She then completed her Graduate Diploma in Law in 2021, obtaining a Commendation at the University of Law in Guildford. She remained at the University of Law to complete her Legal Practice Course with a Master of Laws degree in 2022 for which she obtained a Distinction.

Work Experience

Elle-Mae began her legal career as an Administrative Assistant and subsequently a Corporate Paralegal at Ince LLP in 2022. From here she moved into a role at Community Trade Union where she was able to complete her training contract to become a Solicitor working on a mix of contentious and non-contentious matters. Whilst undergoing her training contract Elle-Mae worked with NBB Waldrons in their Private Client, Criminal and Personal Injury departments to acquire different skills and learn about different areas of law. Whilst she thoroughly enjoyed all three of these areas, upon returning to the Union, she was satisfied that working in employment law was the right fit for her.

After completing her training contract and qualifying as a Solicitor on 2 June 2025, Elle-Mae moved to Penningtons Manches Cooper to work within their Employment Team focussing on working with Police Officers. This gave her an insight into a completely different type of employment law and the complexities that arise in specific occupations. Whilst at Penningtons Elle-Mae also continued to work on settlement agreements for trade unions to maintain the relevant skills needed to advise and certificate them. She is continuing to gain experience in these areas as well as broadening her expertise with a hope to gain experience in both employer and employee representation.

Elle-Mae has moved to NBB Waldrons to take up this exciting opportunity to work with the Business Services Team. Given her trade union background, she is keen to help resolve matters industrially, but can assist clients through the litigation process, when necessary, with empathy, professionalism, knowledge and understanding.
