In celebration of The King’s Trust’s 50th Anniversary, NBB Waldrons Founder & CEO Rob Bhol attended two prestigious events marking the occasion, including a landmark celebration at the iconic Royal Albert Hall attended by Their Majesties The King and Queen.
Formerly known as The Prince’s Trust, the charity has spent five decades supporting young people across the UK to build confidence, gain employment, develop skills and create brighter futures. Since its founding in 1976 by His Majesty King Charles III, then The Prince of Wales, the organisation has helped more than one million young people overcome adversity and unlock opportunities.
The anniversary concert at the Royal Albert Hall brought together ambassadors, supporters, celebrities and business leaders from across the country in recognition of the charity’s extraordinary impact. The evening was headlined by Jools Holland and featured performances and reflections celebrating the work of the Trust over the past 50 years.
Following the event, Rob was also honoured to attend a Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace hosted by The King, recognising individuals and organisations who continue to support the charity’s mission and long-term development.
NBB Waldrons has continued to strengthen its relationship with The King’s Trust through regional engagement and support across the Midlands business community. Earlier this year, Rob was appointed Vice Chair of the West Midlands Development Committee for The King’s Trust, helping support fundraising, advocacy and business engagement activity across the region.
Speaking following the celebrations, Rob said:
“To attend these events during such a significant milestone year for The King’s Trust was both a privilege and genuinely inspiring. Hearing first-hand stories of the lives that have been changed over the last 50 years reinforces just how important the charity’s work continues to be.
The King’s Trust creates opportunities for young people who may otherwise feel overlooked or unsupported and that mission resonates strongly with us at NBB Waldrons. We are proud to support the Trust and I’m personally honoured to have recently been appointed Vice Chair of the West Midlands Development Committee.
There is a real sense of momentum around the charity’s work across our region and we look forward to continuing to support its impact in the years ahead.”
As a firm with deep roots across the Midlands and London, NBB Waldrons remains committed to supporting organisations and initiatives which create positive and lasting change within local communities.
