Rising karate star Hattie Jenkins, who is sponsored by NBB Waldrons, continues to establish herself as one of England’s most exciting young sporting talents following her latest international success.
Competing at the prestigious World Karate Federation (WKF) Karate One Youth League event in Fujairah, Hattie secured a Bronze Medal against some of the world’s leading young karate athletes. The Karate One Youth League is one of the most important development competitions in international karate, attracting around 7,500 competitors from more than 120 countries each year and serving as a pathway for future European and World champions.
Representing both Kaisho Karate and England, 14-year-old Hattie delivered an outstanding performance throughout the competition, demonstrating the skill, determination and composure required to compete successfully on the world stage.
From Injury Setback to International Success
Hattie’s achievement in Fujairah is the latest chapter in a remarkable journey. After spending a year out through injury, she returned to competition stronger than ever and was crowned British Champion in 2025 shortly after turning 14.
She trains at Kaisho Karate in Rowley Regis under the guidance of Ben Campbell, 6th Dan Black Belt and Midlands Region Head Coach for the England Karate National Governing Body. Through dedicated training and expert coaching, Hattie continues to develop the technical ability and mental resilience needed to compete at the highest level.
Aiming for World Number One
The Karate One Youth League is widely recognised as a proving ground for the next generation of international champions. For Hattie, her medal-winning performance in Fujairah represents another significant step towards an ambitious goal: becoming World Number One by the age of 18.
With sponsorship support from NBB Waldrons and BestSportUK, Hattie is able to compete regularly on the international circuit, an essential part of gaining experience, earning ranking points and continuing her development against the world’s best young karate athletes.
As she continues her rise through the international ranks, Hattie has firmly established herself as one of England’s brightest prospects and a young athlete with an exciting future ahead.
Everyone at NBB Waldrons wishes Hattie continued success as she pursues her ambition of reaching the top of the world rankings.
